One of the sketches for the new Gea Zee women’s ballet flats slippers in linen
The first pair of Hiver Noir winter women ballet flats slippers I’ve made. Elegant, soft and cozy, made in thick pure wool charcoal fabric and multicolor linen. These have also a thick soft midsole for extra cushioning and warmth.
The perfect antidote for cold weather!
Note: goes well with a nice cup of tea and a good book.

Another illustration for a new pair of women ballet flats slippers, Hiver Noir - this time, made for a client, so they’ll be realized very soon. I’ll make them in very thick charcoal pure wool fabric with lavender soles and magenta leather non-slip patches; the straps will be in linen and ramie.
I’ll share some photos as soon as I make these.
Illustrations of new designs for my Zooey women ballet flats slippers - I always have fun making these sketches! Besides, they allow me more time to think about the final design. Hope I’ll be making the first pairs of these soon and share some photos.

New Gea shoes on Flickr.
First photo of the new Gea women ballet flats I’ve finished today.
Actually, they should be called “Gea bathing in the sun” - it’s what I had in mind :)
Gea / Gaia is the Ancient Greek word for Earth, also the name of the mythological Primordial Earth goddess
The green Fiep women ballet flats were the first women shoes model I ever designed - now I have the fabric for only one last pair. I bought both the green & the pink fabric in a fantastic fabric store in Paris, when we went for a trip. I literally went fabric crazy there and came back with tons of gorgeous fabrics!
Should I fly back for more?
Say Yes!, please :)
